Funke Bishi

My name is Funke Bishi. I currently work as an Associate Director, Data Content Management at the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). I am a data management executive with 12+ years of experience in the financial service industry leveraging my expertise in risk management, data management, controls, compliance and finance to help organisations achieve their goals. I am a certified member of the Information System Audit & Control Association (ISACA – a global IT governance association) and Enterprise Data Management Council (a global association that promotes data management practices).I studied for BSc degree in accounting and was fortunate to combine studying for my professional accounting exam with my BSc. degree and qualified as a chartered accountant at the time of my graduation. I hold a master’s degree in business Administration (MBA) and postgraduate certificate in IT & Data Management. I'm passionate about exploring new things and as part of this adventure decided to pivot career to data & technology space where I’m currently exploring and contributing to the space by leveraging my business risk management background and experience to help unlock data and technology potentials. I'm driven daily by the desire to inspire aspiring potential female leaders in the in the risk management and data space. Outside of work, I enjoy listening to podcasts, baking and spending time with my husband and kids.
