Matthew Singer
Having begun my career in hospitality while studying at UC Berkeley earning a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, and opening an off-site catering business, I attended culinary school in and became a certified chef. Upon completing my culinary degree, I worked as a private chef and continued my catering business. After nearly 20 years, I ventured into the corporate world where I marketed, sold, and managed events for unique venues in San Francisco. In 2006 I received my MBA focusing on marketing and consulted in the non-profit world, assisting organizations in managing their administration by developing streamlined systems and ensuring efficient outcomes. In 2015, I began teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Business at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, and teaching as an instructor for UC Berkeley extension where I taught courses in human resource management, entrepreneurship, and marketing strategy. In 2021, I received my doctorate in business with a focus on entrepreneurship.
